چکیده

The importance of legumes in sustainable cropping systems has been studied extensively. Among legumes, common beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) are a rich world resource biodiversity with two centers domestication (Andes and Central America) over 10 major market classes cultivated globally. Common recognized as nutrient-dense, healthy food source due to their high protein, dietary fiber, minerals content also being resistant slowly digestible starch, which elicits lower glycemic response. Some bioactive compounds present reported mitigate cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, hyper-cholesterolemia, cancer. Dry bean production provide unique advantages that support sustainability, including low carbon footprint short growth cycle, facilitates crop diversification cover integration. Symbiotic nitrogen fixation (SNF), characteristic promotes environmentally friendly through modest fertilizer use. Advances improve the upright plant architecture during last decades have enhanced options for direct harvest thereby reducing number equipment passes required. Overall, sustainability implications diversifying rotation using result reduced requirements unfriendly inputs buffering productivity under variable weather conditions. This review article covers beans' role agricultural (biodiversity, SNF, rotational diversity, management) nutrition security. Further discussion includes measures enhance dry breeding management practices by addressing biotic abiotic stresses (diseases, drought, temperature, waterlogging, conservation tillage).

SCP in Agriculture and Rural Development

Introduction Achieving more sustainable consumption and production in the agricultural sector requires a coherent response to the intimate linkages between agricultural production, agro-ecosystems and the people who rely on them, and also the concerns and preferences of a growing number of consumers. Less input intensive and more resource efficient agriculture offers a means to strengthen the c...

Ablating L-FABP in SCP-2/SCP-x null mice impairs bile acid metabolism and biliary HDL-cholesterol secretion.

On the basis of their abilities to bind bile acids and/or cholesterol, the physiological role(s) of liver fatty acid-binding protein (L-FABP) and sterol carrier protein (SCP) 2/SCP-x (SCP-2/SCP-x) gene products in biliary bile acid and cholesterol formation was examined in gene-ablated male mice. L-FABP (LKO) or L-FABP/SCP-2/SCP-x [triple-knockout (TKO)] ablation markedly decreased hepatic bile...

All - Termination ( SCP )

We recently introduced the All-Termination(T ) problem: given a termination solver T and a function F , find every subset of the formal parameters to F whose consideration is sufficient to show, using T , that F terminates. These subsets can be harnessed by a theorem prover to locate and justify induction schemes, and are also useful for guiding rewriting heuristics and ensuring their terminati...

Impact of SCP-2/SCP-x gene ablation and dietary cholesterol on hepatic lipid accumulation.

While a high-cholesterol diet induces hepatic steatosis, the role of intracellular sterol carrier protein-2/sterol carrier protein-x (SCP-2/SCP-x) proteins is unknown. We hypothesized that ablating SCP-2/SCP-x [double knockout (DKO)] would impact hepatic lipids (cholesterol and cholesteryl ester), especially in high-cholesterol-fed mice. DKO did not alter food consumption, and body weight (BW) ...

Sterol carrier protein-2 (SCP-2) involvement in cholesterol hydroperoxide cytotoxicity as revealed by SCP-2 inhibitor effects.

Sterol carrier protein-2 (SCP-2) plays an important role in cholesterol trafficking and metabolism in mammalian cells. The purpose of this study was to determine whether SCP-2, under oxidative stress conditions, might also traffic hydroperoxides of cholesterol, thereby disseminating their cytotoxic effects. Two inhibitors, SCPI-1 and SCPI-3, known to block cholesterol binding by an insect SCP-2...
